We are hiring a Bakery Sales Associate

Location: Waterfront, Park Slope or Flatbush
Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (depending on location)
Reports To: Assistant Store Manager / Store Manager
Job Summary
The Sales Assistant is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while supporting the daily operations of the store. This role focuses on customer interaction, product sales, and maintaining a clean and organized retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
•    Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
•    Provide product recommendations and promote bakery items
•    Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
•    Process sales and payments using the POS system
Store Operations
•    Open or close the store as scheduled
•    Prepare and manage the cash register
•    Complete store opening setup (lights, displays, cleanliness)
•    Perform end-of-day cash reconciliation and closing procedures
•    Secure the premises when closing
Store Maintenance
•    Prepare basic beverages according to company standards
•    Restock displays and maintain product presentation
•    Maintain store cleanliness and organization
•    Prepare simple customer orders
•    Assist with basic inventory tasks
Performance Expectations (KPIs)
•    Customer satisfaction
•    Sales performance and upselling
•    Accuracy of cash register operations
•    Store cleanliness and organization
•    Punctuality and reliability
Qualifications
•    Previous experience in retail or food service preferred
•    Excellent communication and customer service skills
•    Food Protection Certificate (required by NYC)
•    Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
•    Familiarity with POS systems such as Square preferred
Compensation:
$13/hour + tips + bonus

We are hiring a Bread Baker

NIGHT SHIFT (Full-Time)
Location 273 Columbia Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 – Brooklyn French Bakers (BFB)
We are looking for an experienced Bread Baker to join our team for night shifts (5 days/week, including weekends).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and mixing bread dough using commercial mixers

  • Following recipes and established production processes with consistency

  • Dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking breads

  • Baking a variety of bread products to high-quality standards

  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  • Experience in bread baking

  • Comfort working overnight shifts and weekends

  • Reliability, attention to detail, and respect for processes

  • A positive attitude and team spirit

Compensation:

$20-22/hour
